How do I add downloadable documents?

Updated on: 11 September 2019

Sometimes it's convenient - or even mandatory - to add additional information to articles or pages. For example, manuals, instructions, and product folders. But how does it work?

In the admin panel you have the option to upload PDF files via Legal Documents. Click the "select file" button, then select the document you want to upload and click 'Add'. Here you can upload up to five PDF documents with a file size of up to 2 MB. If your shop is multilingual, you can add 5 documents for each language. With the link button, you can copy the URL to the document. You can then use it for a link in your footer, on a page or article description. Easy, right?

If you want to offer more, larger, or other types of files, we advise you to use a cloud storage service such as Google Drive. You will need an account to use this external platform. This is free at Google Drive. After registration and sign up, you can upload documents and offer them via a 'shareable link'. This link can then be placed on a page or in article descriptions.

Because Google Drive is a cloud storage service that is not managed by MyOnlineStore, we can not guarantee the storage, backup, legality and validity of the link. For more information about this, we would like to refer you to the cloud storage service provider.
