How to set Cookie Consent?
To protect the data of the visitors of your webshop, it is important to indicate for which purpose the information from Google Analytics is used. This gives us the information needed to load Google Analytics at the right time.
In the back office you can set this via Visitors / Statistics / Cookie Consent.
Which purpose do you need to enable?
Marketing purposes
The data usage for marketing purposes is set by default. If you haven't changed anything within Google Analytics and you're using Google Analytics for advertising purposes, you can leave this option checked.
Analytical purposes
Do you only use Google Analytics for statistical and analytical purposes? Then you tick "Analytical purpose" in the back office.
Within Google Analytics you can disable the sharing of data for advertising purposes as follows:
- Go to https://analytics.google.com and log in with your webmasteraccount
- Click Admin at the bottom left
- Go to Property Settings
- Click Trackinginfo
- Select Data Collection
- Switch off Remarketing and Advertising Reporting Features and save
Statistical purposes
Do you only use statistical data and do you want to disable data sharing with Google? Then you tick "Statistical purpose" in the back office. Within Google Analytics you can turn off data sharing as follows:
- Go to https://analytics.google.com and log in with your webmasteraccount
- Click Admin at the bottom left
- Choose Account Settings
- Uncheck all 5 options
