How do I get my online store legally in order?

To make the sales process as flawless as possible, it is helpful to be aware of the appropriate laws and regulations. That way, you know exactly where you stand. Sidenote: The legal templates are based on the Dutch laws and regulations. Do you sell in any other country? Always check their regulations!

Legal templates

As a merchant, it is imperative to have your legal documents in order. Think of Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and your return policy. With our templates you will have your legal documents in order in no time. Go to legal templates.

The legal templates were facilitated in collaboration with WebwinkelKeur

Mandatory company information

Information about your online store should be easy to find, such as company name, email address and phone number.

Geef alle verplichte informatie

  • Name with which you are registered at the Chamber of Commerce
  • Business address at which you are registered with the CoC
  • Your CoC number
  • Your VAT-number
  • E-mail address
  • Phone number
  • When you can be reached (if you are hard to reach)

Findability and accessibility

Make sure consumers can easily find your company information before buying. For example, on every page of your webshop (such as in the header, footer or via a link to your contact page).

And be truly contactable. Answer emails and answer the phone. Don't put a tape behind it.
