- The name of your online store is featured in the title of every page. That’s why we suggest you add some additional information to your store’s name. Concretely, instead of ‘Interiordesign.com’, you could go for ‘Interiordesign.com – Furniture, lighting and gifts!’.
- Don’t call your homepage ‘Home’, but rather ‘Furniture, lighting and gifts!’
- Enter the right meta tags for each page
- Use conversion keywords in your page descriptions and texts.

Make the most of your social network, or develop one from scratch! Nowadays, social media are everywhere. Not only do they help you reach your customers, they also help you identify your customers’ wishes. This is the easiest way to quickly get in touch with your target audience, so always be on the ball!
Facebook and Twitter may seem like the preferred social media channels, but Pinterest and Instagram are actually the two networks that generate the highest conversion rate – simply put, they encourage people to place an order. Analyze where your target group likes to hang out and think of the best way to make your voice heard via those channels. Keep in mind that social media is ‘social’, so it’s not one-way traffic focused on advertising. Ensure a good mix of custom information and expertise, and of course, put your online store in the spotlight.
Ask your customers to share their experiences with your online store, and yourself, and to spread the word with their network. An excellent way to do so is via review sites.
A newsletter can attract a lot of visitors to your online store. When customers subscribe to your newsletter, they receive it directly in their mailbox, so this might actually be the most effective form of advertising! Another option is to ask a blog to feature an exclusive review of your store. Either way, blogging is the way to go!
